These pictures were taken on the last day I was in Alaska,...  below is the last Cruise ship sailing away at the end of the season.

I got over TEMSCO today and took a few pictures.  this is the Co. that I am trying to get my foot in the door.

Most of you probably did not know that I went swimming here in AK a while back,  and when I did, I was stung by a jellyfish.  I found this picture online.  It is called a 'lions mane jellyfish'  that is what got me.  =]

I know it has been a long time since I posted anything.  I am anxious for the season to end, but until then I'll do the best to enjoy what is left

I finally managed to get a ride on a float plane.  I took 56 pictures so I will share with you the ones I think are the best.

I am learning how to use the timer thing on my camera and the cropping feature and this is what I came up with.  I'm trying to take pictures with me in them.

I took this picture on May 20 something?  around 9:45 pm  I was trying to get a feel for what the late evenings look like here.

My house mates were given some crab,  this is them right after they cooked 'em up good.   Mmmmmmm

We took a hike Saturday on a day off up near this quiet lake.  Below,... me and the lake behind me.

I was trying to get this vicious animal to look into the camera.  He wasn't cooperating.

And this is what you get when you ask someone to take a picture of you with the beautiful stream behind you.,... My  head nearly cut off and no stream in the background to be seen of at all.

End of the day,... ship sailing away.

 This is a vehicle that is used to take tourist up to a Zip Line course.  I got to go on one of those tours.  I lot of fun, but I don't have any pictures of that.  Still I rode in one of these.

I saw this woman holding this bird (Great Horned Owl) and ran over and asked if I could take a picture.  Pretty cool.

Tried to take another picture of myself.  I even have my cute little uniform thing on.  =]

We went to this bird sanctuary.  I was really cool to see these birds up close.  Thought Larry D. would like this.

This is a carving on the wall.  about 8 ft. x 4 ft. Thought Dad would find the art work interesting.

On a bridge taken just at the bottom of the hill from where I am living. It has a high tide and low tide.  right now it is not at either extreme.  Somewhere in between.

Sorry for not responding to your comments.  It is fun getting them,  however, I thought I was responding by e-mail and apparently it doesn't work that way.  And then the blogging service site was down for maintenance for a few days.   Anyway, I will try to figure out how to respond to comments.  In the meantime I have some more pictures I hope you will all like.  :)

I thought I'd post a few pictures of myself so you won't forget what I look like.  That is my bus in the back ground.  #790  VIP COACH.                                                                                                            It is a 1972 GMC with no power steering. Cool.

One of the many Totem poles around here.  I am suppose to learn all about them and tell visitors stories.  We well just have to see how that goes.,... Perf.

We were treated to a crab feast. This is my plate after I was done with dinner, but before dessert.

This little water fall and the picture behind me could have been taken on the same bridge. One at a 180 deg. from the other.  The pathway is just a short walk between the two sites.  They say that Salmon will be swimming up this stream to lay their eggs.  I haven't seen any yet but it will be cool when they come.  This is the furthest south that we will be taking visitors.  At the very end of the road,... there is an old Cannery that the visitors see, and take a tour.

Picture taken literally from my back porch.  This was the first sunny day since I've been here.  I've been here for a week now.   

This picture is of Ketchikan.  It was taken from a hotel lobby window right next to the house where I am living.  It has pretty much been raining all day. We saw a couple of dear right in our back yard.  Houses really don't have yards around here.  I went to church today.   It was Stake Conference.  There is a Ward here but still pretty small.   I hope to make some good contacts.  The people are really friendly.
